Qualified Landscape Construction
Magnolia Horticulture is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Construction Worker to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces and have a strong background in landscape construction, we want to hear from you!
About the Role:
As a Landscape Construction Worker, you will be an essential part of our team, working on a variety of residential and commercial landscape projects. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality, custom landscape designs to our clients, while ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct, install, and maintain hardscaping features such as patios, retaining walls, walkways, decks, and garden structures
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including excavators and hand tools
Prepare and level ground for various landscape projects, ensuring proper drainage and aesthetic appeal
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised worksite
Provide input and ideas on design and construction methods based on your expertise
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in landscape construction (3+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of hardscaping and softscaping techniques
Ability to read and interpret landscape blueprints and design plans
Experience with operating heavy machinery and power tools safely
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)

Qualified Horticulturist
As a qualified Horticulturalist you will be responsible for applying your expertise in plant care, garden design, and horticultural practices to manage and maintain a wide range of gardens and outdoor spaces. You will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure that all horticultural projects meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and maintain various types of garden landscapes, from small residential gardens to larger commercial or public spaces.
Identify and recommend suitable plant species based on climate, soil type, and environmental conditions.
Implement sustainable gardening practices, including soil management, pest control, and water conservation techniques.
Conduct routine plant care, including pruning, fertilising, watering, and pest/disease management.
Assist in the management of landscaping projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on plant selection and garden care.
Stay updated on the latest horticultural trends, plant varieties, and best practices.
Requirements:
A relevant horticultural qualification
Proven experience in horticulture, landscaping, or garden design.
In-depth knowledge of plant species, soil health, pest control, and garden design.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Experience with garden machinery and tools.
Valid driver’s license (if required for the role).
